The company is a partnership between the Principals of BioTek Solutions, Inc., BioTek Haiti S.A. and First Coast Biofuels.

BioTek Solutions, Inc., founded in 2005, has worked tirelessly with the Florida Energy Office, the Florida Legislature and numerous counties to promote Biomass based energy and biofuels awareness and use in Florida and the Caribbean. BioTek has worked with the Organization of American States (OAS), the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), and the Pan-American Development Foundation (PADF) Haiti desks to include Caribbean nations with existing biofuel agricultural potential into the Global Biofuel Market. BioTek is currently assisting numerous members of the US congress and senate as well as Haiti’s Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Natural Resources’ (MARNDR) Renewable Energy and Bio-Energy Commission to optimize Haiti’s bio-energy security to spur Haitian agriculture and agri-business development.

BioTek Solutions, Inc. is a member of the Florida BioEnergy and Renewable Energy Council and of the Inter-American Ethanol Commission. BioTek’s strength lies in its ability to bring people and organizations together in mutually cooperative and beneficial endeavors. BioTek Haiti S.A. is an Agro-Solutions Development Company with a program-specific joint venture that brings together US and Haitian organizations having broad experience and expertise both in agriculture-based development in Haiti and Bio-energy; a familiarity with the economic, environmental and social challenges facing Haiti; and a shared interest in fostering sustainable development in Haiti.

BioTek Haiti S.A is an independent partner of the 40 year old multi-national Khawly Group of companies, which includes Ciment du Sud (a 50/50 partnership with CEMEX, Mexico) and various import/export divisions such as SajRice/Sugar SA, Manuthor SA and Haiti Transport S.A. The groups’ members are the pioneers and founders of the Fondation Seguin (www.Fondationseguin.org) which is dedicated to the reforestation of the Seguin region in partnership with numerous local and international entities. In addition to training and education, The Fondation Seguin has developed a system of parallel terracing coupled with bamboo to reduce the rate of erosion and to stop the denuded mountainsides slipping into the cities.

BioTek believes in responsible development through the optimization of existing assets and infrastructure, - while respecting agricultural and social realities. BioTek is committed to improving the standard of living in Haiti with the implementation of viable and strategic solutions. With its experienced, established, successful international agribusiness development and distribution network, BioTek is vested in contributing towards solutions for long-term beneficial agricultural and agri-business development in Haiti.
